Prophet River First Nation - Ice Rink Facility
This is a non-designated project on federal lands or outside Canada. The listed authorities are responsible for the project assessment.
The project will construct a naturally cooled 3/4 sized outdoor ice rink on the Prophet River First Nation. The rink will also be able to be used for ball hockey, basketball and tennis in the warmer times of the year. The rink will allow the community to have a source of outdoor recreation on reserve that will be able to be used year round. The rink will also allow for the Nation to host tournaments and other recreational activities. The project works will include: - site and sub-surface preparation; - installation of rigid insulation, rebar, and concrete to complete rink surface; - components for conversion to basketball and tennis; - purchase of a zamboni; - construction of an equipment storage container; - installation of metal roof structure; - all related electrical and lighting works; and - all rink accessories and works.
