Pelee Island Harbour Dock Replacement

The Township of Pelee intends to complete upgrades to Pelee Island Small Craft Harbour, located on federal lands at the north end of Pelee Island. The proposed upgrades include:

  • Removal of existing center float string

  • Installation of new access ramp

  • Installation of new floats and achoring system

  • Installation of new bollards on each float

The float configuration is staying in roughly the same position as existing however the overall length has increased slightly by 7m and width by 1m. 

Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Transport Canada intend to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of this project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

June 1, 2022– Fisheries and Oceans Canada Small Craft Harbours has issued it's Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
