FPX has maintained consistent and respectful communication with Binche Whut'en leadership. Their early engagement has been well-received. Going forward, Binche expects continued transparency, timely sharing of technical information, and direct dialogue with Chief & Council and Keyoh families.

Binche members have actively participated in environmental monitoring, water sampling, wildlife assessments, and other fieldwork activities. FPX has demonstrated a willingness to incorporate traditional knowledge into environmental planning, and ongoing involvement of Binche’s environmental team remains a priority.

Binche also expects continued collaboration in identifying culturally sensitive areas and implementing appropriate protection measures as project activities increase.

FPX has supported local employment opportunities for Binche members, including fieldwork, camp support, and environmental monitoring. There is significant potential to expand contracting opportunities for equipment, transportation, and related services as the project advances. Early workforce development planning will be important to maximize long-term employment benefits.

Exploration activities have already contributed to local economic activity. Binche is seeking long-term benefit structures that align with the region’s role in supplying critical minerals.

FPX’s emphasis on low-carbon nickel production and carbon capture technologies aligns with Binche’s vision for sustainable development. Binche expects to remain directly involved in major project milestones, permitting processes, and oversight committees. Establishing a consistent collaboration structure—such as scheduled meetings and technical working groups—will support coordinated and effective long-term planning.
