Concerned about proximity to Atlantic Salmon habitat and using American natural gas

This proposed project is very close to important salmon spawning and rearing habitat. Based on the planning documents released so far I do not believe that the proponents have properly evaluated the risks to fish and fish habitat. Sedimentation during contruction and wastewater are major concerns for such a sensitive system.

I am also concerned that this as well as the Marshdale plant will be powered, at least for the time being, by natural gas purchased from the United States. I don't know that increasing reliance on American fossil fuels is the best strategy for Canada's/ Nova Scotia's energy future.
