Management of the Douglas-Fir Beetle (Dendroctonus pseudotsugae) Timber Harvest

Douglas Fir trees infested by the douglas fir bark beelte will be harvested along with some incidental Lodgepole pine, (Pinus contorta), spruce (Picea glauca), and aspen trees (Populus tremuloides).  The objective is to harvest douglas fir infested with douglas fir bark beetle while retaining other healthy trees.  The activities will include but not be limited to road building, timber harvesting, log hauling, and road deactivation.
