Potential Regional Assessment in the Salish Sea

The Minister of Environment and Climate Change has received a request for a regional assessment the Salish Sea (both Canada and the US) including its inner bodies of water and the traditional fishing territories of Treaty Nations.

September 20, 2022 — The Minister of Environment and Climate Change has decided that a regional assessment in the Salish Sea is not warranted under the Impact Assessment Act. The reasons for the decision are provided in the Minister's Response.
