YVR Winter Operations Fuel Storage project

Vancouver Airport Authority is proposing to install two aboveground fuel storage tanks at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond, B.C. The tanks will provide additional diesel fuel storage capacity for use with airfield maintenance activities during winter operations. The tanks are engineered skid-mounted double-walled aboveground tanks. The fuel tanks are 25,000 L and 35,000 L respectively. The tanks will be kept in a secure area serviced by an oil-water separator.

Nov 29, 2023 – The Vancouver Airport Authority issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
