Beaver Lake New School

Beaver Lake Cree Nation intends to construct a new Indigenous education facility in Beaver Lake Cree Nation Band No. 460. This facility includes a new school, support to adult education programs, a dedicated elders and mentor space, and a comfortable resource area. The school will be 1,900 square meters and is in a central area to the community, located in proximity to administration, commercial, and residential developments.


Latest update

April 23, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) until May 23, 2024 respecting the determination.
