Makwa Lake Resort Development

Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation (MSFN) is proposing a residential / recreational development within the head lease area situated along the east side of Makwa Lake within Makwa Lake Indian Reserve No. 129B.  The proposed development will include numerous phases.  The first phase includes the development of a RV park with individual sanitary service and water connection to a nearby source.  The project planning has been underway in the community for several years.  The project is a key priority for MSFN to develop own-source revenue potential and job creation, to improve the wellbeing and quality of life for their membership.  The physical works include site clearing, grubbing, grading, and construction of roads, pathways, sanitary, water supply, electrical, RV parking/hookups and associated services.
