Saddle Lake Cree Nation is developing a plot of land on the reserve into a women's shelter. Work will involve land clearing, earthworks, utility installation, and construction of facilities.

December 21, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its Notice of Determination (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
