Goliath Gold Project — Public Comments Invited

June 12, 2019 — The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) is conducting a federal environmental assessment of the proposed Goliath Gold Project, located in Ontario.

The Agency invites the public and Indigenous groups to comment on the draft Environmental Assessment Report, which includes the Agency's conclusions and recommendations regarding the potential environmental effects of the project and their significance, the proposed mitigation measures, and the follow-up program.

The Agency also invites comments on the potential environmental assessment conditions for the project. Final conditions would become legally-binding on the proponent if the project is allowed to proceed.

All comments received will be considered public. Written comments in either official language must be submitted by July 12, 2019 to:

The Proposed Project

Treasury Metals Inc. is proposing the construction, operation, decommissioning, and abandonment of an open-pit and underground gold mine and associated infrastructure. The proposed mine, located 20 kilometres east of the City of Dryden, Ontario, would have an ore production capacity of 5,424 tonnes per day and an ore input capacity of 3,240 tonnes per day with an anticipated mine and mill life of 12 years. Over the 12 years of operations, the average ore production and ore input capacity of the mine and mill would be 2,700 tonnes per day.
