The Proposed Project
The Northwest Angle 33 First Nation Angle Inlet community requires an upgrade to the Water
Treatment System. Two new surface water intake pipes will be installed approximately 219 m into Lake
of the Woods and a water reject pipe will be installed approximately 187 m into the lake. A new water
treatment plant and below ground reservoir will be constructed to service the community, and new
water service piping will be installed throughout the community. The treatment and distribution system
will be designed for fire flow capacity to design year 20, based on projected population growth. The
treatment system upgrade plan is attached.
