Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
Replacement of Boilers and Installation of Propane Storage Tanks

May 14,  2020 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Rivière-du-Loup Armoury

Main building : Removal of an underground tank of heating oil and all underground and above-ground piping. Installation of an above ground propane tank and replacement of the two heating boilers.

Garage : Removal of an underground tank of heating oil and all underground and above-ground piping. Installation of an above ground propane tank and replacement of the two heating boilers.

Removal of an underground waste oil tank and all underground piping and an oil water separator and installation of a new oil water accumulator separator.
