The Proposed Project

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA) has requested to extend the timing of completion of eelgrass transplant as part of habitat offsetting measures at Maplewood Flats due to restrictions and complications arising from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Under the current Fisheries Act Authorization for the Centerm Expansion Project, all fish habitat offsetting measures are to be completed by December 31, 2020. VFPA has requested an extension to October 31, 2021. This date extension would require an amendment of the existing Fisheries Act Authorization.
