Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
SP1 Compound Fence and Gravel Resurfacing, Op REASSURANCE, Camp Adazi, Latvia

November 12, 2020 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. The Proposed Project

The Canadian Task Force on Op REASSURANCE in Latvia will construct a fence and resurface the Engineer Support Squadron compound located within SP1 at Camp Adazi. This will include construction of a 215 metres long perimeter fence. 1400 square meters of the compound will be resurfaced with gravel.
