CAP-AUX-MEULES - CONSOLIDATION AND EXTENSION OF THE WHARF – PUBLIC COMMENTS INVITED

2021-04-14 – Transport Canada must determine whether the proposed consolidation and extension of the wharf, located in Cap-aux-Meules is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

THE PROJECT

Transport Canada is proposing a project to extend and consolidate the wharf at Cap-aux-Meules. The work includes, among others, the installation of new piles, increasing the capacity of mooring bollards, installing a new defense system and installing a steel ramp for pedestrian access.

The works are scheduled for September 2021 to March 2022.
