The Proposed Project

The Municipality of Lambton Shores, with support from Fisheries and Oceans Canada's Small Craft Harbours Branch, is planning on conducting a dredging project in Grand Bend Harbour. The proposed project includes prop-wash dredging the harbour area and mouth of the Ausable River to displace littoral sand which has been deposited within the main channel areas using the propeller of a tug boat. Spot dredging will be used to clear upstream obstructions(i.e submerged trees). The proposed project is scheduled to start in early-May and will be completed as needed in accordance to in-water work timing windows.
