May 11, 2022 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

FortisAlbera is proposing to construct 1082.59 meters of overhead powerline to site 2-32-19-8-W4 and 1065.66 meters of overhead powerline to site 2-33-19-8-W4. Construction will include setting poles, setting anchors, and stringing overhead wire, as well as the installation of a transformer.
