Sheshatshiu School Expansion and Renovation – Public Comments Invited
June 15, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Sheshatshiu School Expansion and Renovation located in Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project
The project will involve the design of a new 1551m2 expansion/renovation to the existing Sheshatshiu school. Project activities include site grading, repaving parking lot, extension of water main and connections into existing water/waste water infrastructure, construction of the East Addition (694m2), construction of South Addition (813m2) and construction of Rear Addition (44m2).
