The Proposed Project

The city of Montreal is planning repair work on the Angrignon bridge, which is over the Lachine Canal. Interventions affecting Parks Canada property are mainly the installation of a shelter to protect users of the canal path and the adjacent trail, the installation of a storage area for materials and tools as well as the installation of maritime signaling in the canal. The latter will be installed according to the movement of a mobile footbridge which will allow interventions to be carried out under the bridge, while protecting the canal against falling debris. The work is scheduled for the summer and fall of 2022.
