Alt Hotel - Public Comments Invited

March 13, 2023 – The Ottawa International Airport Authority must determine whether the proposed Alt Hotel, located at the Ottawa International Airport is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the Ottawa International Airport Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The Ottawa International Airport Authority and Germain Hotels are proposing to construct a hotel on the project site located South of the Parkade exit gates and North of the Airport Parkway Private exit. The hotel has a footprint of approximately 1141 m2 and a gross floor area of approximately 9995 m2 divided in up to 8 storeys and containing a maximum of 180 rooms, a restaurant and meeting space. The hotel will be connected to the 3rd floor of the South pedestrian ramp of the parkade via an aerial passage, and also accessible via a new drop-off vehicle access off of the Airport Parkway Private.
