The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which will consist of the construction of a new single-story building of approximately 3,700 square meters. Additional, an exterior parking area measuring approximately 10,500 square meters is located to the east of the proposed building. The project will consist of site preparation, including installation of erosion and sediment controls, vegetation clearing, grubbing, and grading. Site construction will involve the installation of utilities, construction of the interior building, paving of the parking area and connection to Shirley Road. Following construction, any areas of remaining loose or disturbed soil will be stabilized and restored. Lastly, the operations and maintenance phase will commence following the completion of construction and will continue for an indefinite period.
