Lightning Protection System Installation  – Public Comments Invited

August 25, 2023 – The authority must determine whether the proposed Lightning Protection System Installation, located in Ottawa, ON is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The building has experienced lightning strikes that have damaged internal building equipment. To prevent future damage, a lightning protection system, including antennas on the roof connected to the lighting conductors into the grounding system, is being designed and installed at the building.
