Lílwat Nation- Xetólacw Village Road Resurfacing – Public Comments Invited
September 20, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Xetólacw Village Road Resurfacing project, located in Xetólacw Village is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
Recommended upgrades to the Xetólacw Village roads include asphalt resurfacing, base/ sub-base replacement/ repair; ditch restoration, culvert replacements; additional signage, line painting; incorporation of traffic calming features and accessibility/ safety improvements at select locations; and establishment of defined pedestrian/ bicycle paths within the road corridor. 
Xetólacw Village where works are planned to occur is located roughly 5 km east of Mount Currie Village on IR #6.
