The proposed project

As part of the project to cover the movement area at the Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon airport, a repair of the fence surrounding the runway was planned. However, it appears that the fence is in an advanced state of deterioration. It was agreed to remove the existing, degraded section of fence, and to create a 100 m-long detour of the fence towards the runway.

The section of fence affected by the work is located in a wetland bordering the airstrip. The detour will be made towards the airstrip and not inside the wetland.
