The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which involves work execution as well as the labor contribution, materials, and tools necessary for the naval reserve dock repair at the His Majesty's Canadian Ship (HMCS) Jolliet in Sept-Îles. The rehabilitation work aims to carry out three main activities. They include; underwater work to replace and add welded plates on the Z-shaped sheet pile curtain, excavation and backfilling work inside the quay above the average water level and paving, and land restoration. Since work will be carried out in fish habitat, a request for review will be submitted to the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO).
