The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. The primary objective is to install watermain backflow preventers and revenue grade meters at four primary Utilities Kingston connection points (owned and serviced by Department of National Defence Real Property Operations, on Department of National Defence property).

The scope of this project includes but is not limited to localized realignment of the watermain and installation of double check valve backflow preventers on Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Kingston's watermains at a minimum of four locations, including heated enclosures/structures, power supply, new metering, and maintenance access routes. The project also involves future permanent closure of two other water service connections to the Utilities Kingston distribution network.
