YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel – Soil rehabilitation on the site occupied by Mechachrome Canada Inc.  – Public Comment Period

May 16, 2024 - ADM Aéroports de Montréal must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, ADM Aéroports de Montréal is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The project consists of rehabilitating the soil of a portion of a retention basin located at 11,100 Julien-Audette Street at YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel on lots 5,257,239 and 5,257,236 of the Cadastre du Québec. The site is occupied by Mechachrome Canada Inc. The soils to be rehabilitated correspond to criteria "C" and above of the MELCCFP's Intervention Guide – Soil Protection and Rehabilitation of Contaminated Land and/or the CCME's industrial criteria. They will be excavated and then managed off-site in accordance with the Contaminated Excavated Soils Management Grid of the MELCCFP Intervention Guide and in accordance with all applicable regulations. The volume of soil to be extracted corresponds to 55 m3 (110 t.m.).
