2024-05-17 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Written comments must be submitted by 2024-06-17 to the contact identified on the project page.

The Proposed Project

NAV CANADA is proposing to erect a new 21.1 metre self-support tower located on chemin Deblois in Ascot Corner, to the northeast of Sherbrooke in Quebec. The purpose of this tower is to replace a 16.9 metre self-support tower that has reached end of life. This project will install a new 11 x 20 feet equipment shelter, erect a new antenna support tower, install equipment and RF cables. The tower will be installed at geographic coordinates 45°28'40.7"N 71°46'45.1"W, on lot 5 285 522, owned by Transport Canada, in Ascot Corner, Quebec.
