The Proposed Project

This project will improve and sustain nutrition outcomes for the poorest and most marginalized women, adolescent girls, and children in these districts through comprehensive and integrated nutrition-specific and nutrition-determining strategies targeting individuals, communities, health service providers, and the broader health system. The project will adopt a gender-transformative approach at every stage, addressing gender-based power imbalances, challenging harmful gender norms and practices, and empowering women and adolescent girls to control the factors that influence their own, and their children's nutrition, with the support and partnership of male power holders and government decision-makers.

Below is a list of construction elements proposed for the projects' objectives outlined above:

  • Construction of blocks of latrines for boys and girls with drop holes
  • Construction of mass handwashing facilities
  • Plumbing works for supplying water to constructed toilets and mass hand washing facilities
  • Construction of raiser support and installation of Simtank
  • Construction of menstrual hygiene management room imbedded to girl's toilet block
  • Construction of burning chamber imbedded with menstrual hygiene management room
