The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing to construct a new boat ramp at Ranch Point, consisting of rock fill with a concrete landing and ramp, with armour rock for slope protection. It will be constructed on top of the existing substrate with no ground disturbance. The existing boat ramp became unusable following upgrades to the helicopter pad, and there is currently no operational boat ramp at Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental and Test Ranges (CFMETR), which results in vessels and personnel having to travel long distances.
