The Proposed Project

Cenovus Energy is proposing the installation of 22 new 30-feet radiocommunication towers on skids to be located at Foster Creek, AB -  developed sites in the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range. The project will add only new Remote Terminal Units at drilled well sites in the Foster Creek area on small CSA approved skids. Each new skid will be a non-permanent structure consisting of a directional Yagi antenna, 30 feet (9m) in height and a radio. The system will operate in the UHF band for well site data transfer and communication. There may be periodic equipment additions or replacements, as required for any Radiocommunications service.
