Environmental Impact Assessment Notice

Cameco Corporation (Cameco) is proposing to increase the operational capacity at Key Lake Operation, known as the Key Lake Extension Project (The Project), located in the Athabasca basin, approximately 570 kilometers north of Saskatoon.

The project is subject to an environmental assessment under both The Environmental Assessment Act (Saskatchewan) and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012 before the project can be approved.

The public is invited to provide comments on Cameco's Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), the Saskatchewan Ministry of the Environment's Technical Review Comments (TRC) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission's (CNSC) Environmental Assessment Report.

The submission deadline for written comments is February 28, 2014 to either:
