Comment submission- ability to speak from direct experience

In my role as Net Zero Atlantic’s Rural Community Engagement Coordinator for Offshore wind, I will be helping to build awareness in rural Nova Scotia of this Regional Assessment and opportunities for citizens and interested groups to contribute. 

The purpose of this Comment submission is to enable me to speak from direct experience about how contributions can be made through the Regional Assessment website.

Net Zero Atlantic’s Capacity Building for the Sustainable and Inclusive Development of Nova Scotia's Offshore Wind Resource project is designed to publicize the opportunity that Offshore wind energy presents in rural Nova Scotia.  The goal is to foster open discussion, broad participation and thus better informed decision making in relation to its development.

Two tactics have been adopted so far.  The most important is public information workshops which are listed on our website for anyone interested in learning more.  The other approach taken so far is offering brief introductory presentations on this topic to municipal councils and committees of councils.  I welcome inquiries, comments, or suggestions.
