lack of proper consultation

As chief of the Flat Bay band and as indigenous person, I would like to see proper consultation in all regions affected.  Our knowledge Keepers and community members has indept knowledge of the local areas, which needs to be shared and considered.  We need a full indigenous assessment and study done before we leap into something that has so much environmental, health and social and economic impacts on our community and members.   Meaningful consultation has not been done, and we urge government and the committee to embrace our communities in disscussion that are respectful to all involved.  The need for more information around the current technologic that are being considered and the potential effects to our communities.  The study area is comprised of a large geographic region, consideration to the licensing and the impact on bothinshore and offshore fisherman must be considered.
