Canadian Environmental Assessment Act
Comprehensive Study Report
Grain Products Transhipment Centre in Kahnawake

Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) proposes to build new grain transhipment facilities on land in the Kahnawake reserve, situated alongside the St. Lawrence Seaway adjacent to the city of Sainte-Catherine. Project plans include a grain distribution plant and a marine terminal capable of accommodating vessels of over 25,000 tonnes. Under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, the responsible authorities, namely the departments of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and of Fisheries and Oceans, have prepared a comprehensive study report in respect of the project and have submitted it to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency.

Pursuant to the Act, the Agency now invites public comments on the conclusions, recommendations and any other aspect of the comprehensive study report.
