Highway 914 - All Weather Roadway - McArthur River Mine Site to Cigar Lake Mine Site

Projects that were undergoing a comprehensive study at the time the provisions of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012 came into force will continue to follow the requirements of the former Act. Under the former Act, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is responsible for conducting the comprehensive study of this project.

The project includes: 51.71 kilometres of all-weather road; watercourse crossings; temporary structures, including construction roads, work camps and water withdrawal facilities; aggregate and borrow pits; and all physical works and undertakings associated with the fish habitat compensation plan.


Latest update

October 15, 2014 - The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency terminated the environmental assessment process because the project as proposed by the proponent is no longer subject to an environmental assessment under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012.
