Paddling Sites Upgrades Phase II

Pukaskwa National Park proposes to upgrade 4 existing backcountry paddling campsites along the Lake Superior coastline. At each of the 4 sites, upgrades will include a new a new bear-proof food locker, a new pit-privy, and access trails from the existing campsite to the new infrastructure. Privy pits will measure ~3' deep x 2' diameter and constructed on site using hand tools; vegetation will be cleared (~470 m2 total) to ground level using hand tools; no large machinery or concrete will be used.
