Wetland Walkway Replacement - Hattie Cove

Pukaskwa National Park proposes to remove and replace the low lying boardwalk section of the Coastal Hiking Trail at the east end of Hattie Cove which passes over a shallow, open-water wetland of Lake Superior, to improve the condition and safety of this infrastructure. Project will include creation of staging area, transport of materials via helicopter, removal of old wooden boardwalk and installation of new floating plastic walkway.

The project will also be assessed by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada
