Wharf Replacement, Frenchmans Cove, Newfoundland

The proposed project will see the removal of the existing timber finger pier and wooden slipway at the Frenchmans Cove site on the West Coast of Newfoundland. Once the existing structures are demolished, dredging with be carried out to provide adequate draft for vessels utilizing the site, and enable construction of a new wharf. DFO SCH as proposing to construct a new finger pier wharf at the site, in a hockey stick formation, measuring approximately 65m long. The site will also include a new marginal wharf, asphalt parking area, and riprap protection.
