Telus Communications Inc., new radiocommunications tower (BC153008) in Bella Bella

Telus Communications Inc. is proposing to erect a new 38m monopole radiocommunications tower on Heiltsuk First Nations land in the community of Bella Bella, BC.  The purpose of the tower is to provide improved wireless service including voice and data to the community.  The tower will initially house 12 large panel antennas to support a variety of communication technologies in the mobile wireless bands.  The tower may undergo periodic antenna additions, replacements, or other minor modifications.

2023-10-13 – The public comment period on the project is closed.  Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
