Rocky Creek Metallurgical Coal Project

CTI Plus Resources Ltd. is proposing to construct and operate an open-pit metallurgical coal mine located about 47 kilometres southwest of Chetwynd, British Columbia. As proposed, the Rocky Creek Metallurgical Coal Project would produce up to 3.77 million tonnes of coal per year, over a mine life of 18 years. Once mined, the coal would be transported by rail to the west coast of British Columbia for shipment overseas.

January 16, 2025 — The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada and British Columbia’s Environmental Assessment Office issued the Joint Summary of Issues and Engagement to the proponent on December 23, 2024, for the preparation of the proponent’s response to the Summary of Issues and Detailed Project Description, if required.
