Smoky River Wind Project

ABO Wind Canada Ltd. is proposing the construction and operation of the Smoky River Wind Project, a series of new wind turbines located within the Municipal District of Smoky River, between Nampa and Falher, Alberta. As proposed, the project would include up to 27 wind turbines with a hub height of around 120 metres and a blade length of about 90 metres. Each turbine would have a production capacity of up to 7.2 megawatts for a total expected production capacity of 160 megawatts. The project footprint would cover about 2,833 hectares of privately-owned land.
