Kasabonika Lake First Nation - Nursing Station Fuel System Upgrade

Kasabonika Lake First Nation has proposed a Bulk Fuel Storage Upgrades Project at the community's nursing station. The existing tanks will be decomissioned, removed and replaced with two (2) new bulk fuel storage tanks (25,000L). The new tanks will be connected to the existing system at the Nurse's Station but the current above ground and underground piping and controls will be replaced with new piping, transition sumps, valves, and other controls to conform to TSSA standards. Design and construction have and will be completed to comply with TSSA requirements, CSA B139-19 Standards, ULC standards and The Storage Tank Systems For Petroleum and Allied Petroleum Products Regulations. The project is deemed necessary as the existing bulk fuel storage systems start to show evidences that could potentially lead to environmental hazards.
