Bearskin Lake First Nation - Wastewater Treatment System Project

Bearskin Lake First Nation has proposed the construction of a new wastewater treatment lagoon cell with wastewater collection piping. Physical activities will include vegetation clearing, construction of the lagoon, installation of piping, construction of road access, and re-seeding of disturbed grounds once the lagoon is constructed. The total footprint of the lagoon is 90,000 m2. 


Latest update

February 3, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until March 5, 2025 respecting the determination.
