Mitaanjigamiing First Nation (previously Stanjikoming First Nation) is located at the north-western arm of Rainy Lake, about 70 km north of the Town of Fort Frances. The proposed project involves upgrading the existing single-phase power line to three-phase power, including the installation of approximately 6 km of submarine cable from the south end of Stanjikoming Bay, Rainy Lake to the Water Treatment Plant on Mitaanjigamiing First Nation.
