Replace Existing Distribution Water Main at West End WTP and Upgrade 10 Residential Septic Fields ICIP (57278)

The project's purpose is to make improvements to existing potable water and waste water infrastructure on Obashkaandagaang First Nation. The works will address potable water supply interruptions in the community and will prevent contamination of groundwater from waste water. The works will occur in a developed area on reserve and will include excavation and blasting to remove and replace existing infrastructure.

-Address 10 failed septic systems in the Community to prevent contamination of groundwater, surface water and environment.

- Hire contractor for excavations and installation.

- Install temporary water service lines and water mains.

- Remove and dispose of existing distribution water main and service lines.

- Replace existing Distribution Water Main with 150mm PVC.

- Remove and replace curb stop valves and services lines. - Affected valves will be replaced and upgraded. - 1.2km of water main will be replaced and 800m of service lines.

- Repair 10 septic fields.

- 1.2km of water main and 800m of water service lines to avoid experiencing further breaks (multiple breaks have occurred over the past couple years resulting in the Community being without water for multiple days).
