New Fibre Installation
BCN plans to install underground fiber optic cabling, for Internet purposes, to all residential homes in the Little Black River and Hollow Water communities. The project involves the installation of approximately 23 km of underground fiber optic cable from the 1) Manitoba Hydro Telecom vault on PR-304 to the Intersection of PR-304 and O"Hanly Rd, and from that intersection, along O'Hanly Rd towards Little Black River; and 2) from Manitoba Hydro Telecom network on PR-304 (between Rice River Rd to the East and the Main St. in the west) to the intersection of PR-304 and Main St., and from that intersection, along Main St. to Hollow Water.
The cable is to be buried by directional drilling, trenching, or using existing conduits, or a combination of these methods in existing roadway alignments.
