Install Prime Power to Building 471 - Canadian Forces Base Suffield

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project to connect 25 kilovolts of power supplied by FORTIS to building 471 Matilda Communications Tower, to meet the operational requirements of DND within Canadian Forces Base Suffield Range Training Area by providing a greener alternative to the existing use of diesel generators on site. Work will include the installation of electrical components and equipment feeding building 471.

October 25, 2022— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
