Upgrade Firefighting Training Area - Canadian Forces Base Suffield

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which consists of upgrading the firefighting training area around training tower B584 to improve the safety and quality of firefighting training. The work includes the construction of a 1500 square meter concrete pad around the exterior of the training tower, adding ladder supports to the windows, installing a new vehicle access gate, and removing an abandoned concrete structure.


Latest update

October 11, 2022— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
